One packshot is not a campaign

A packshot identifies the product. A campaign gives people a reason to care. Start with one product truth, one customer question and one desired action. Then build the video, stills, landing experience and lead capture around the same idea. That is how separate assets become a launch system. Planning a launch? Send the product or service to WOW Skincare on Instagram.

The brief is the first production asset

Before generating a frame, lock five decisions: product truth, audience, desired action, visual world and one movement per shot. This prevents the team from creating more options before deciding what the campaign needs to communicate. A strong brief reduces waste because every variation is judged against the same objective. Beautiful creative still needs proof

AI can create a persuasive visual faster. It cannot create evidence for a product claim. Before publishing, separate atmosphere from objective claims, confirm that each claim has appropriate support, and review what the complete visual communicates. For regulated or health-related products, obtain appropriate professional review before launch.

Creative variation is not random variation

More assets only help when the product remains recognizable. Lock the package, palette, light direction and visual language. Then vary one useful element at a time: hook, crop, texture, background or format. The objective is coordinated range, not visual drift. Every variation should still look like it belongs to the same campaign.

What a product discovery app should actually do

A useful product application does not diagnose or overwhelm. It asks a small number of relevant questions, narrows the options, explains the difference and gives the visitor a clear next step. For brands, that can mean better product education and more qualified enquiries. The interface is the surface. The real product is a shorter path from curiosity to action.

The 3-shot structure behind stronger product content

A product video needs more than beautiful frames. Build it around three jobs: establish the product, demonstrate its texture or use, and end with one clear brand action. Lock the product geometry, lighting and color before generating variations. The result is a sequence that feels directed instead of randomly assembled. Save this structure for your next campaign brief.

Three decisions that make an AI beauty prompt usable

Before writing a long prompt, lock three decisions. First, define the product in physical terms: packaging, material, texture and proportions. Second, define the light: source, direction, softness and background. Third, define one movement for the shot. These decisions give the generator a visual system. Extra adjectives do not.

Lighting a serum bottle so it reads as premium

Premium reads as controlled light, not bright light. Start with one key source at 45 degrees and a black flag opposite it. The flag is what creates the dark edge that makes glass look expensive. Add a narrow strip reflector behind the bottle to draw a single vertical highlight down the glass — that highlight is the whole shot. When you brief an AI render, describe the lighting the same way you would to a photographer: "single soft key at 45 degrees, negative fill camera left, narrow strip highlight on glass, matte black surface, no visible background". Vague words like "beautiful lighting" give you generic output; lighting nouns give you your brand. Checklist before you generate: key direction, fill or flag, one named highlight, surface material, background depth.

Brand consistency starts before generation

Choose one product reference, palette, lens language and light direction before creating campaign variations. Consistency is what makes AI content feel like a brand system instead of a collection of unrelated experiments. Variation should change the message or format, not the product identity.

Write a shot list before you write a prompt

A prompt is a shot description. If you cannot say the shot out loud, the model cannot render it. Write five lines before you touch a generator: subject, lens, light, motion, mood. "Macro 100mm, glass dropper, single warm key, slow push-in, quiet luxury." That is a brief. "Nice skincare video, cinematic" is a wish. Teams that keep a shot list per SKU cut their revision rounds roughly in half, because feedback lands on a named line instead of on the whole clip.

Skin close-ups: the realism checklist

Generated skin fails in predictable ways. Run this checklist on every frame before it ships. 1. Pores should vary in density across the face — uniform texture reads synthetic. 2. Specular highlights belong on the nose bridge, cheekbone and lower lip, not everywhere. 3. Peach fuzz on the jaw edge sells realism more than any other detail. 4. Eyelash direction should follow the lid curve; crossed lashes are the fastest tell. 5. Colour: skin is never one hue. Warm in the cheeks, cooler at the temples. If a frame fails two or more, regenerate rather than retouch.

Build a brand kit your AI tools can actually read

Your brand book is written for humans. Your AI kit has to be written for machines. Keep one page with: three hex values, two lighting descriptions, one surface material, one camera language, three banned words. Paste that page at the top of every prompt. Consistency stops being a taste question and becomes a copy-paste question. Add a small reference board of five approved frames. Most tools accept an image reference; five is enough to lock a look without collapsing variety.

Claims: what you can and cannot say on camera

Regulatory language is not legal theatre; it is what keeps a campaign live. Avoid absolute verbs — cures, eliminates, permanently. Prefer measured phrasing tied to evidence you hold: "in a 4-week user trial, 82% reported smoother skin." If you do not have the study, do not have the sentence. Anything generated: disclose it where the platform requires and keep a record of the model, prompt and date. Ten seconds of record-keeping per asset saves an entire audit.

Batch production: one shoot day, thirty assets

Stop generating one asset at a time. Block a half day. Lock the look with your brand kit page. Generate in families: three hero stills, three macro textures, three lifestyle frames, then cut nine verticals from the three best. Name files by SKU and frame number as you go, because unnamed exports are lost exports. The bottleneck is almost never generation speed. It is decision speed — so pre-decide the look, then batch.

Colour grading for warm ivory and gold brands

Grade in three moves: lift the shadows slightly warm, hold the mids neutral so skin stays honest, roll the highlights toward champagne. Never grade the product colour itself. If your packaging is a specific gold, sample it and mask it out of the grade — customers notice when the bottle on screen does not match the bottle in the box.

The three-second test for every asset

Play the first three seconds with sound off. If a stranger cannot tell what the product is and who it is for, the asset is not finished. Fixes that work: put the product in frame one, put the benefit in on-screen text, and cut the establishing shot entirely. Establishing shots are for films, not feeds.

A weekly content system that survives busy weeks

Monday: pick one theme. Tuesday: generate the family. Wednesday: edit and caption. Thursday: schedule. Friday: read the numbers and write one line about what you learned. The system matters more than any single asset, because it removes the weekly negotiation about what to post. When the week collapses, you still ship Tuesday's family.

Model likeness, consent and synthetic faces

If a generated face resembles a real person you worked with, treat it as their likeness. Get written consent that names AI generation specifically; a standard shoot release usually does not cover it. For fully synthetic faces, keep them synthetic — do not blend a real client's features to "make it feel like her". Blends are where legal exposure lives.

Packaging renders that match the physical product

Photograph the real bottle once under your standard light. Use that frame as the reference for every render. Check three things on each output: label typography weight, cap material reflectivity, and fill level. Those three are what make a customer feel the render was honest when the parcel arrives.

Measuring what matters: saves, watch time, replies

Likes are the least useful number you have. Track saves as intent, average watch time as clarity, and replies as relevance. If watch time drops at second three, your hook failed. If saves are high but replies are zero, you made a reference asset, not a conversation asset — both are fine, but know which you shipped. Review five assets every Friday, not fifty. Small, regular reviews beat quarterly audits.
